Day 3: Obedience

Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 
(Matthew 7:24)

In the parable of the two builders, obedience is compared to building a house on a rock. Disobedience—even among people who willingly hear God’s Word and perhaps believe that it’s true—is like building a house on sand. When rain and floods come, the disobedient fall hard. None of us obeys perfectly. But what can we do when we see the men in our lives walking a path of disobedience? The Bible says that far from nagging, wives are to submit to their husbands and win them over without a word through respectful and pure conduct. (1 Peter 3:1-2) God calls all of us to pray for one another in areas of sin. (James 5:16)

Today's Prayer Guide:

* Pray that the men in our lives will commit to living in obedience to God’s Word.

* Pray that God will protect them from starting down a path of disobedience.

* Pray that those who are walking in disobedience in any area will repent and redirect their steps to align with God’s will.

* Pray that we as women will walk in obedience as well, winning over our husbands with respectful and pure conduct and praying faithfully for all the men in our lives.
