Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. (James 5:16)
In The Power of a Praying Wife, Stormie Omartian writes: “The hard part about being a praying wife, other than the sacrifice of time, is maintaining a pure heart. It must be clean before God in order for you to see good results…If you have resentment, anger, unforgiveness, or an ungodly attitude, even if there’s good reason for it, you’ll have a difficult time seeing answers to your prayers. But if you can release those feelings to God in total honesty and then move into prayer, there is nothing that can change a marriage more dramatically.” The same thing applies when we’re praying for our fathers, sons, brothers, neighbors, and friends. Let’s begin this month of praying for the men of Grace by praying for ourselves.
Today's Prayer Guide:
* Pray for humble hearts as we intercede on behalf of the men of Grace, that we would seek not to judge or manipulate our husbands, brothers, fathers, and sons but to raise them up for God’s glory and purpose.
* Pray for faith in God’s intervention and a release of our own agendas and expectations.
* Pray that we will be changed, delivered from resentment, anger, unforgiveness, and ungodly attitudes, even as we pray for the men in our lives.
* Pray for a commitment to praying daily, that we would finish the course and stay faithful to the end.
